Research and Policy Manager
Sesugh Ivande is a legal practitioner and a human rights activist working on equality, peace and justice. He holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2016. He is currently rounding up a Master of Laws (LL.M) programme in International Law, Human Rights and Humanitarian Law.
Prior to working at the Foundation, he has worked as the Human Rights Officer of the International Centre for Peace, Charities and Human Development where he worked to promote and protect the rights of children, women and IDPs. He has obtained a lot of professional certification on the African Human Rights System and dreams to engage international and regional human rights mechanisms on SOGIE rights in Africa.
He is also a past Legal/Justice Fellow of the Bisi Alimi Foundation and a Connecting the Dot Fellow of the INCRESE Feminist Institute. His passion for all cross-cutting aspects of human rights and equality in Nigeria, led him to volunteer and now work with the Foundation.
He is an excellent researcher and loves to write, cook and hike.
